Donate to Support Local Screening of “Sentenced”

a documentary film produced by Steph and Ayesha Curry that shares the challenging stories of adults who never learned to read.

 

Screening of “Sentenced,” Sunday, September 29th

5:45 - 7:00PM Film Screening, 7:00 - 8:00 PM Panel Discussion

The project is backed by J2W Foundation in support of the Campaign for Grade Level Reading, a national organization with over 350 communities laser focused on the predictive indicator of 3rd grade reading.

Following the film, a panel of local leaders and educators will discuss the pathways to improving outcomes and achieving grade level literacy by the third grade. Al Sikes, one of the co-founders of READ Alliance,  will moderate the discussion.

SOAR FOR VETERANS

The 2018 SOAR FOR VETERANS cycling event celebrated veterans and raised funds to support the Mid-Shore Recovering Veterans Group (MSRVG)



DEAR EVAN HANSEN

Forty local educators, social workers, nonprofit leaders and others serving youth visited Broadway to see the award winning musical “Dear Evan Hansen.” 



JOWITE COMMUNITY GARDEN

In spring of 2017, we created a youth and community garden so that kids in Easton’s Port St. neighborhood would have access to fresh fruits and vegetables.
