a documentary film produced by Steph and Ayesha Curry that shares the challenging stories of adults who never learned to read.

The project is backed by J2W Foundation in support of the Campaign for Grade Level Reading, a national organization with over 350 communities laser focused on the predictive indicator of 3rd grade reading.
Following the film, a panel of local leaders and educators will discuss the pathways to improving outcomes and achieving grade level literacy by the third grade. Al Sikes, one of the co-founders of READ Alliance, will moderate the discussion.

Forty local educators, social workers, nonprofit leaders and others serving youth visited Broadway to see the award winning musical “Dear Evan Hansen.”
JOWITE COMMUNITY GARDEN
In spring of 2017, we created a youth and community garden so that kids in Easton’s Port St. neighborhood would have access to fresh fruits and vegetables.
“I have great hope in people that they will figure things out… This has forced us to look at things differently and to appreciate life more. I am incredibly optimistic that we will come out the other side of this smarter, wiser, and closer as a community.”
